During our trip to Astoria, we really wanted to take a ride on the Riverfront Trolley, so we googled it, and DOGS ARE ALLOWED!! We were excited.

The trolley takes about an hour each way from end to end. Unfortunately we visited during a closure (one of the buildings on the Riverwalk had a roof collapse, and they were evaluating structural damage), so we could only take a short ride. You can hop on and off at any of the stops along the way. There are great restaurants and shops throughout the Riverwalk.

The trip was totally worth the $1.00/person (dogs ride free!), and the Trolley is completely volunteer run, so the drivers and tour guides really love what they do. We learned some great Astoria history!

PROS

Cost Just $1.00/person

History Lesson I learned lots of neat things about Astoria on our short ride Friendly Volunteers Everyone was very sweet to Callie

WATCH OUT

Crowded I'm sure this trolley can get very crowded during peak days. If your dogs isn't comfortable in small spaces with lots of people, sit this one out. We went on a Friday afternoon and it was fine.

Noisy The slightly snappy movements on the track and trolley horn were freaking Callie out a little. She handled it well, but if you have very skittish pups, this is probably a no go.
