Fall Creek State Recreation Area has 6 different sections along Fall Creek Reservoir to visit!
Winberry
Winberry day use area has a boat launch with a large parking lot, lots of picnic areas throughout the entire park, most with a lakefront view, a swimming area, and clean flush restrooms.
North Shore
North Shore has a boat launch and a number of picnic tables. We watched lots of birds flying really low here!
Free Meadow
Free Meadow was as advertised, a small meadow. I think there's lake access when the lake is higher, but otherwise it was just the meadow and picnic tables. This entry was STEEP.
Lakeside I & II
Lakeside I and II are both small picnic areas with great views of the lake and a restroom. We were there on a Saturday and there were very few people around in any of these smaller day-use areas.
Cascara Campground
We capped off our visit at Cascara Campground. This is a FCFS primitive campground with no day-use access. While all of the signage stated the campground was full, we were able to find 3 sites available for the night to choose from. The campground is super quiet, since there's not a lot of traffic on the road. We set up camp in the car, snacked, napped, read a book, and explored the campground. With higher water levels it looks like there's a nice platform and swim beach, but levels were too low to use it.
Fisherman's Point Campground
This is a reservation-only group campground. It appears to have great access to the water for fishing (one would hope), and lots of space for trailers, RVs and tents.
