The museum itself ISN'T dog friendly, BUT they have kennels in the shade for small to medium sized dogs so you can actually go when you're in Central Oregon. Bring your own bowl, bed and water.
Thank you - I always want to stop and visit places like museums, shops etc., but usually can't because of the dogs. We see you looking out for us, and for that you get a dedicated blog post.
The museum itself is awesome. A combination of indoor and outdoor exhibits, showcasing central Oregon history from the natives to the pioneers, to the researchers and even the cults that have inhabited the state over time. It also highlights the importance of conservation for wildlife, and it really has some amazing historical pieces, antiques, and replicas to see as well. Oh, and the cutest river otters, Brooke & Pitch.
Tickets: $11-$20 depending on age and time of year.
