Pittock Mansion Grounds

When we visited Pittock Mansion, the view from the back of the house was incredible, even on a rainy day.

The walk around the grounds itself is fairly short, maybe 1/2 a mile, though it does have a steep incline if you go around the entire house, and hosts an incredible view. It is also part of the Wildwood Trail. I haven't done any of the trails in Forest Park for some time, so this post is just about the grounds along the mansion.

Without going into the museum (dogs not allowed), you can still see the entire exterior of the Mansion, the Gate Lodge, and guest quarters, along with the stunning view of the city.

PROS

Stunning View The view is amazing.

Quick Walk Quick out and back to the viewpoint, you can make the walk a little longer to hike around the entire exterior.

WATCH OUT

Busy This area is SUPER crowded on nice days, it was pretty busy even on a rainy day. Dogs with people anxiety, not the place for you on a sunny weekend.

Parking Fee $2.00 per hour. That's plenty of time to see the grounds.
