Tickle Creek Trail is a lovely 3.6 mile walk, 1.8 miles each way. Very flat, with a firm crushed gravel great for dogs, kids, wheelchairs, bikes, you name it. You're following the creek, so you can go as far as you want and still see nice woods and the creek.

You do cross the road a couple of times, one is well-marked, the other is a bit more cross at your own risk. Parking is just on the sidestreets near any part of the trailhead.

You'll encounter lots of people and dogs on this trail, but we went on a Saturday and it wasn't as busy as I had anticipated. Definitely not crowded.

PROS

Flat walk this is a great trail for older dogs, very flat, but you still get to follow the creek through the trail, so there's visual interest.

Urban Forest this trail is right in the residential areas of Sandy, but it does feel like you're in the woods.

WATCH OUT

Busy but not packed I think since this trail is in a neighborhood it doesn't get utilized by as many people as you'd think. Almost everyone we encountered had dogs, but it wasn't packed like Forest Park or Gorge trails can be

No designated parking You park on the neighborhood streets. The residents don't seem to mind, I think because it isn't a hugely used trail.

Lots of dogs and kids This is a perfect trail for them, so you'll likely see them on the trail.
